What else can we tell you?

Origin of the name: Brickyard is one of the nicknames of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the venue for the Indianapolis 500 and the Brickyard 400. In the 1960s, the brick surface was entirely covered by asphalt aside from a three-foot (one-yard) strip at the start and finish line, which earned the oval its name, ‘The Brickyard’. As a newcomer here in 1966, Graham Hill was the first Brit to win the Indianapolis 500.

Whilst its stimulant properties make many wary of this ancient brew, the caffeine it contains is cited as having many beneficial affects. It’s good news for men suffering from early hair loss due to hormonal reasons, as caffeine can penetrate the scalp and promote blood circulation. Hair follicles become smaller with time and can eventually disappear completely, but some scientific research shows that caffeine is able to communicate directly with the hair follicles and counteract hormonal hair loss. Top tip: Leave shampoo in for 1-2 minutes to allow caffeine to penetrate the roots of the hair. It is broken down in the scalp within 24 hours.
