GQ – Cover Date February, 2022
GQ began in 1931 in New York City as Apparel Arts, a trade publication for men’s clothing wholesalers and retailers. By providing them with fashion information, it enabled them to make recommendations to their male customers. The publishers of Apparel Arts also started Esquire as a publicly distributed men’s magazine in 1933.
In 1957 Apparel Arts was transformed into a quarterly fashion supplement for Esquire subscribers. It resumed separate publication under the single title Gentlemen’s Quarterly in 1958. It is now published in 8 countries.
GQ was launched in Britain in 1988 and has won more than 50 awards for their magazine, website, social media and video content. We’re proud to be associated with the leading contemporary and stylish men’s magazine.
